Leicester academic to Chair STFC Facilities Research and Development Panel
Dr Sarah Hainsworth has been appointed as Chair of the new Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) Facilities Research and Development Panel.
This panel will review proposals to develop the current UK based facilities to ensure that they remain world-leading and agile enough to address new scientific priorities. The facilities include the Central Laser Facility; the Diamond synchrotron (the largest UK-funded scientific facility to be built for over 40 years) and the ISIS Pulsed Neutron & Muon Source.
