Don’t miss the annual University of Leicester Work Experience Fair for 2008
The University of Leicester Careers Service is hosting its annual Work Experience Fair on Wednesday February 6th & Thursday February 7th 2008. Over 50 different organisations will be exhibiting at the Fair, offering a range of paid and unpaid work experience opportunities to students. The event will take place on campus in the Queen’s Hall in the Students’ Union from 11am-3pm.
Students will be able to get expert CV advice as the Fair will feature a free CV ‘health check’ clinic on both days between 12-2pm. The event is open to all students and will feature commercial organisations on Wednesday 6th Feb and charities and voluntary organisations on Thursday 7th Feb. Students will be able to find out about a range of work experience opportunities from paid commercial and industrial placements to volunteering opportunities in the UK and abroad.
Shirley McCaugherty, Employer Liaison Manager commented: “Employers agree that the students who are most successful in obtaining graduate employment are those who gain valuable work experience while studying. Work experience shows the employer you have developed the skills they are looking for and helps you to stand out from other graduates competing for jobs”.
The 2008 Work Experience Fair will feature all aspects of work experience, enabling students to find the opportunities and placements to suit their individual needs and interests.
