Leicester ‘embodies spirit of Times Higher Awards’
Leicester has been described as a University that ‘embodies the spirit of the Times Higher Awards.’
Ann Mroz, Editor of the Times Higher, made the comments after Leicester was crowned University of the Year in the 2008 Times Higher Education Awards.
She said: "Leicester's turnaround in the past decade has been extraordinary, and it is encouraging to note that the university has risen through the league tables without feeling the need to compromise on its widening-participation initiatives."
