The revised Corporate Identity for the Web recognises only 3 distinct types of site:
1) Standard University sites - which should always have the University logo in the top left hand corner, the Department/Office name as a <H1> style, the new style university navigation bar at the bottom, a Web maintainer link and 'last updated' link. There is only one size of University logo to be used on all pages. Also within this group of pages are 'Personal pages' which should carry no University logo and contain contact information about a member of staff. Personal pages may also contain other appropriate/relevant background information (of the kind you might find on a CV).
2) Joint Project sites - Officially recognised joint projects between the University and an outside body e.g. the Leicester Warwick Medical School, should carry 'Joint Project' identity which consists simply of the logos for both involved parties being displayed somewhere on the page with neither logo given greater prominance.
3) 'Hosted by' sites - Certain groups, external to the University, occasionally come to an agreement with the University to have their sites hosted on University of Leicester servers. When this happens the only Corporate Identity insisted upon is a text link that carries the words 'Hosted by University of Leicester' on it and links to the University's homepage: http://www.le.ac.uk
