A Great Success!

Opened in October 2006 as New Hall, John Foster Hall has had a very successful start hosting many day conferences, and the beginning of April 2007 saw the first residential conferences arrive.

A £25 million investment is set within a 40 acre residential campus which features stunning landscaped grounds and a 16 acre botanic garden. The University of Leicester’s flagship John Foster Hall houses three large meeting rooms, the largest accommodating up to 125 delegates. Two rooms have the flexibility to be divided into smaller meeting areas offering organisers adaptable meeting spaces with natural daylight and flexible seating arrangements.

Boasting some of the best university accommodation in the country, John Foster Hall offers 570 stylish en suite bedrooms, 29 suitably adapted for wheelchair users and all of which can be accessed via a lift. Located in attractive pavilions, each room has state-of-the-art facilities including en suite bathroom, Internet and telephone access, refreshment facilities, towel and toiletries selection. Each 4-5 roomed flat shares a spacious fully equipped kitchen area and social space, ideal for self-catering guests.

Alongside the exceptional meeting facilities, the contemporary bar and balcony area provide organisers with an ideal area for pre dinner drinks and receptions. This area offers an ideal setting in which delegates can relax after dinner and take the opportunity to network or catch up on any outstanding business commitments.
