Leicester's teaching is highly rated. Leicester was placed fourth in the 2012 National Student Survey and has never placed outside of the top ten since the NSS which began back in 2005. In July 2013, our Students’ Union was named Higher Education Students’ Union of the Year by the National Union of Students.
A guaranteed place to live
Students who apply through Clearing are guaranteed a place in University allocated accommodation, just like all our other freshers. You must confirm your place and apply for your accommodation by 1 September 2013.

Leicester is a student city. Located in the centre of England it has great transport links and is just 70 minutes from London. Leicester has a great range of shops, museums, music venues and festivals and an impressive sporting legacy – plus it has been the shortlisted for the UK City of Culture 2017.
Unprecedented investment in scholarships and internships
When you apply through Clearing you become eligible for our undergraduate scolarships. The University of Leicester has set aside more than £8 million for undergraduate scholarships, with individual scholarships ranging from £1,000 to £3,000. We also offer support to help you build the skills, experiences and exposure that employers are looking for, right from the start of your time at university.
