THE EXISTING RESOURCE...

This page provides access to my collection of some 1100 images of archaeological and archaeoastronomical interest.

Please note that the images are of variable quality and that many of the captions are in need of update. A major overhaul is under way: the images themselves are being cleaned up, many hundreds of new ones are being added, and the captions are being systematically revised. In the meantime they are offered here as a raw resource: please take them as you find them. Copyright information is given beneath each image.

UK AND IRISH IMAGES UPDATED!!

The first stage of the overhaul is complete. The result is a much expanded set of images of UK and Irish sites and landscapes, with improved captions and search criteria. These are gradually being integrated into the new Archaeology Image Bank launched on June 21, 2006 by the Archaeology Data Service. To access the images, use the ADS search engine.

The eventual aim is to provide a revamped set of geographical-hierarchical menus providing access to the new images. In the meantime, the existing hierarchical menus will lead you to the old UK/Irish images and captions.
