The Barefoot E-Moderator

The next ADELIE "The Barefoot E-Moderator" online course starts 17th September 07 for three weeks

The ADELIE project team at the Beyond Distance Research Alliance is offering a short, focused and fun course in the basic skills of e-moderating. It is open to all academic and related staff at the University and is entirely online in Blackboard.

This course aims to provide you with the basic key skills for teaching online. By the end of this course you will be able to:

  • understand the potential of online learning in groups and how to establish the group process
  • develop & enable others, motivate and retain learners
  • create links between online & other features of learning programmes (blended learning)
  • pace & use time appropriately
  • weave & summarise
  • encourage sound contributions from others, and give appropriate feedback

Give us 12 hours of your time, spread across 3 weeks, and you’ll learn e-moderating skills that will help you maximise the impact of e-tivities on your courses.

The next "Barefoot E-Moderator" course starts 17th September 2007. It's entirely online in Blackboard.
